Breastfeeding and eating Vegan

How many hits on Pinterest do you see when you search for how to boost milk supply? It can get so overwhelming. I've been breastfeeding my chubs for almost 7 months( the time really does fly by) and at first I was nervous about having enough supply. We all know how much our bodies change and we can't predict how they will react. While some may think that Veganism would keep you from the nutrients needed to maintain supply, I have found that it actually has helped me! Here are some of the foods that have helped boost my supply. As I mentioned, all of our bodies are different but it's always worth the try!

1. Oats! This one is no secret. I'm not a huge oatmeal girl so I typically put this in my smoothie.

2. Flaxseed: This one is my favorite because it also gives me an energy boost. Much needed with a baby.

3. Peanut butter: I don't know how or why but it works. I always pump extra after eating peanut butter.

4. Soy milk: Again, I don't know the connection but it has been great for a smoothie base to keep up my supply.

5. That good ole H20. Consuming 75-80 ounces a day has been key. The days when I fall short I can almost feel the difference.

Those are my top ones. What are some of you plant eating mamas doing to keep up your supply? I'm always up for swapping tips.
